NC29 conversion to uk spec lighting

Post by SPal »

Hi,

I havn't given up on this (yet) !!!!

Has anyone converted NC29 to uk spec lighting ?

The switches are easily available - was looking @ using cbr900RRN switchgear, but plenty relays required to handle power to uk high beams

Anyone got a wiring diagram ?

CBR900RR (all carb models at least) had two little headlight relays tucked under the front fairing trims. So you will still need relays I'm afraid.

Hi Amorti,

Yeah, I've got an RRN which i can use parts off (until I come to finish rebuilding it. lol)

I was clutching @ straws that someone had a modified wiring diagram for the conversion already done.

I've got wiring diagrams for cbr900rrn & cbr400rrr, working my way through them and tbh its easier to list whats the same rather than whats different, they are wired so differently.

Plan on fitting cbr9 fuse box if it will fit as its got the extra 20amp fuse for the headlights, the relays you mention allow you to use the 55/60 H4 bulbs without burning the switch out
