VFR400 NC30 fork problem
Hello,
I have recently noticed that their is an issue with the damper adjuster on one fork. One clicks when adjusted and the other (suspected issue fork) does not and turn a lot less than the other. Is this an easy fix or do I need a new fork top nut. I see Rick Oliver does them but they are pretty expensive! Also considering the Rick Oliver upgrade kit so taking apart is not an issue.
Thanks

Easy to remove the suspect top cap & disassemble. Once you have removed the cap, wind the spring preload adjuster fully out of the cap. You should see a ring spring & steel ball that form the "clicker", if it does not fall out first. Remove the "clicker" & wind the brass rebound adjuster out of the spring preload adjuster. You may need lots of WD40 & have to work the adjuster back & forth.
