nc30 rev counter

i ahve just noticed that my rev counter has gone a bit wierd, it shows te bike ticking over at about 6 k and revs over the maximum, the bike is runnign fine so definately rev counter faulty,

Is this common,

any ideas ?

dodgy earth usually.. get them checked :-)

The tacho earth, together with 12 volts, is shared with most of the other instruments so if there are no other intrument electrical problems then earth & power are probably not the source of the problem. Another member on this forum had a similar problem just recently & the tacho was at fault, so they do go dud.
