MPH Converter

My bike has had one of those converters fitted, the blue thing screwed into the back of the speedo, don't know the name of it.

I have a potentially daft, no very daft, question regarding the odometer reading.

The converter was fitted at about 45000km, any distance on the odometer now after that poing will be in miles, correct?
