Rear brake light banjo switch fitted, not working!!

I swear my bike just doesnt want to get back on the road!
As i now have Tyga rearsets fited, i needed to fit a banjo bolt brake light switch to my bike for the back brake. Fitted it earlier, bled the brake, and plugged it into the wiring for the original brake light switch but it doesnt work! Pants! Grrr!
With the banjo switch came two new washers but they were steel, not copper, would that make a difference to the operation of the switch? I didnt use them, I re-used the original copper washers.

Anyone help? Getting mildly annoyed with these little delays now!!

im not firmiliar with how the switch picks up its info ?? is it just a relay? i wouldnt of thought using either washers would make a diff tbh. did you test the switch works befor fitting it? or does it work on a pressure thing??

Its a pressure switch, cant really test it until its fitted and you can put fluid pressure through it!

i thought as much, yeah makes sence. well if the brake is working then you know you have pressure yes, although brake systems them self dont give off much, tiny amounts iirr. maybe youv spliced it in wrong mate. or try rigging another way to test the switch, sounds like it works on tiny pressure to work. could prob be done somehow to test. google. sorry cant be much more help really.

Tried continuity tester through the wires, when pressing the brake pedal no beeping at all, no continuity! Re-bled brakes, no change, checked wiring connections, all ok. Totally confused, unless the brand new switch itself is knackered!

The switch doesn't need much pressure to work. I did mine last week and it worked with the system not properly bled.
The switch isn't complicated so if you have them wired up correctly then I would agree that it's broken.

Bleed the system through the switch, any air will collect and sit in the top of the switch.

Crack the switch joint and press the lever slowly, then tighten joint and release pedal.

scrub that, bled from caliper and from top of switch, nowt! Pants!
Emailed the seller, see what he comes back with.

Message back from seller today, several people have complained theirs dont work from the latest batch he received from his supplier, so issued instant refund and is sending the batch back!
