You need to make a 'V' shaped cut in the shock linkage or it will catch the rebound damping screw,

Hi THanks for reply.

Is there a specific year of cbr6 shock thats best to use,

I was hoping to get a rebuildable one ! WP/Ohlins etc etc so don;t want to end up getting one and then finding it won't fit.

What does fitting acbr6 shock do to te rear ride height , I'm ok if it comes up a bit but don;t want it toooo high

cheers

You need 282mm eye to eye shock length depend of mountings and your weight and purpose of usage.

Here is just FIY. Length of different shocks. Me personaly use FOX Rasing from CBR600F3

you telling me those are all ones that will fit ??

how depending on the larger number
e.g. aha YZF R1 2002-2006 300 (+5.5/-0.5) 64.5

is how high they are and the stock is 282? so the higher the number, the taller the bike?

I can only assume the numbers at the side are the shock lengths and if so then barely any of them will fit and even if they are the correct length there is nothing to say that the mountings wil be compatible.

Bit useless really.

so your saying its impossible to fit a taller/longer shock?

i want a new shock that is stiffer and increases rear ride height..
