Good mechanic or garage in the North West?

My attempts to get my RVF running right have failed, so I have decided to pay someone more mechanically minded than me to try and put it right. I know of Fastline in Preston, but I hear a few less than inspiring tales about some of the work they have carried out. Is there anyone on GB who could recommend someone for me to take the bike to in the North West who knows their way round the RVF?
Thanks

It went from starting on the button every time, to needing full choke and a bit of throttle to start. The revs 'hunt' up and down at times with the throttle held open at say 5k, revs will intermittently go from 4k to 6k, back to 5k without moving the throttle. Putting the choke in after 5/10 mins the bike just dies in 5 seconds, engine revs fall and it cuts out. It has started cutting out when rolling off the throttle when approaching a junction / roundabout. It will restart after cutting out.
Had new plugs, battery and carbs cleaned / balanced at the end of April, did 800 miles fine then the problems started. I changed the oil / filter last week while it was off the road. Thought it was perhaps a fueling problem so had the tank off to check the fuel line and vacuum, both look ok. I am near Preston.

Reg/Rec????? i only say this as it ran fine with a new battery for 800 miles, just enough time for a dodgy reg to murder the new battery and the symtoms show their heads again
