Starting problem!

Post by gunz400 »

Hi guys, my little bike it's almost complete again and is actually looking like a bike for once but it won't start. When I press the start button the solenoid under the seat clicks, if I put my hand in the starter I can't feel it clicking also. The stater spins up nicely when it's of the bike.

Had anyone got an idea why it won't turn over?

Cheers

Starter not properly engaged?
Something jamming the flywheel?
Low battery voltage- enough to turn it over off the bike but not when its got to turn the engine as well?

I'd get it on a charger for a bit and then try again.

It's sounds like a flat battery, although it is a new one and said it doesn't need charging. I've tried starting if using jump leads of my car.

Starter feels like it's engaged ok and can't think if what would be jamming it.

It's just really frustrating as I was all excited hoping to hear it turn over the got nothing other than a click, lol
