its nothing major but everynow and again I get a slight hunting at tick over,
I have not touched the carbs yet (a job for the dark nights), but I think its a pilot jet problem with it being at low revs any clues?

1.Balance the carbs with a good vaccum gauge..

Balancing ensures there all running the same at tick-over.

2.Give the carbs a good clean and over-haul

Just incase anything is set wrong.

Idle will be a combination of pilot jets, float heights and pilot screws.

Unevenness is most likely due to balance but a partially blocked pilot could cause it too, balancing is easier.. nothing has to come off but side-panels.

I'd use a set of vaccumn gauges.. won't be spot on without it...

If you do it right you can either rule out that issue or fix the problem.

Borrow some from somebody with a set! :-)
