Reverse Fan Direction (NC35)

So, I'm come to the conclusion that my NC35's fan is pants and I need to do something about it. Question for you guys: has anyone reversed the fan's polarity to get it to suck the hot air away opposed to blowing hot air? It's a pretty common mod on the SP1/SP2 and I wondered if the same would help the VFR/RVF.

Why would you want to do this???

Surely, the fan would then then be trying to push air against the incoming air from the forward movement of the bike, also the air passing over the radiator would be hot from the engine rather than ambient temp.

I thought what you've described is the stock rotation, but perhaps I'm wrong and you're right? I assumed it did that based off of my familiarity with the SP1/2. Perhaps Honda weren't so dense with the little V4s?

The radiators on an SP1/SP2 sit beside the engine at 90 degrees to the airflow... the fan is on the "upstream" side of the radiator - as a result the fan is set up as a "blower" instead of a "sucker" if you get my drift? This works to aid normal airflow while on the move, but when stationary it'll push hot air from the front exhaust across the radiator. I can only assume that is why people would reverse the fan direction on these bikes - to aid stationary/low speed cooling.

That's the crux of it, surely? As above, reverse the flow on an nc30 and you're literally pissing into the wind. Not so much of a difference on a bike with side-mounted rads.

Alright, so the stock rotation sucks and doesn't blow...I got it now.
