Right time to get a plate sorted, prob is a full size mc plate is going to look stupid?? whats the general view from pople on here?? i was thinking maybe going an inch smaller on both dimensions any pics would help. :whistle:

7x5" is always a nice size on a bike.

I went for an 8x6 on mine, it's the biggest that would fit in the gap without cutting the reflector off, can grab a picture if you want

Number plates are there for a reason, they are meant to be big enough to read from a distance. Plod does not enjoy being forced to squint.

However, if you must fiddle with it, go for 7 x 5.5" as this is the same proportion as original 9 x 7", so looks slightly less suspicious. 7 x 5" looks a little bit "letterbox", even to the untrained eye.

Would be easier to get the plod some specs, big plates make it look crap!
