GK76A carb fitting problem
Hi does anyone have any pics or drawings of their carbs on the bike and full connected.
Im about to fit mine but unfortunately i didnt remove then so dont know where all the pipes go.

Wow....suprised no-ones chimed in to help you buddy.
Unfortunately I can't help as my carbs are out of the bike atm, was waiting on something.
Once I get it installed, if no one has postd by then, then I will.......just hope I remember now....lol.....cheers!

Hi mate I've had mine out a few times lately so will try to give a step by step guide on fitting them.
1 Make sure the carbs themselves are ready to go back in before you start.
2 Connect the throttle cable (it's a pig) on the right side of the bike adjust the cable and lock off the nuts.
3 There should be two fuel pipes that go to the tap, & two breather pipes (15mm) that go to the small black box on the air box. (don't drop the clips into the engine!)
4 Put the hose clips on the inlet stubs.
5 Now slide the carbs in from the right hand side, it's a tight fit and watch the pipes don't get caught up. Push the carbs onto the stubs, a bit of wd40 helps.
6 Push the airbox rubbers in through the filter hole they are marked left & right and as you do this slip the hose clips over them as they go in. Slide the holding pins into the rubbers so the stay in place. Do up all 8 clips.
7 Connect the choke cable up and fix down with the small bracket.
8 Check the throttle opens and snaps shut properly.
9 Connect the fuel,& vent pipes Check they are not kinked it's easy to do then refit the air filter & battery.
10 Connect the vacuum hose to the back of the tap (Small outlet) it comes from no 3 inlet stub, Make sure the other three inlet stubs have the caps on still.
11 Prime the carbs with fuel then try to start it.
Balancing the carbs can make a big difference to these bikes so do that if you can,
If I've forgotten anything I'm sure somone will be along to let you know.

I assume he means make sure that they are in good order......ie. all o ring are good, needles sit correctly, float hieghts set to correct level, all passages clean etc.

a question to ask!! how to release the throttle cable in order to take the carbs out? i looked @ it from the side, cant figure out how to release it from the carbs. i'm gathering info so when my carbtune come, i know how to take out the carbs fast.
dont want to waste time on dismantle.
by the way, i'm not sure whether its choke or throttle cable. which is which? when i changed my sparks plug, i saw a cable in the centre of carb 2 & 3. the other @ left side of fairing. as i was in a hurry, never figure out which is which. i'm asking about the cable @ the left side.

The left cable is the choke, to get it out you need to undo the small screw the holds the outer cable down then caf
fully slide the cable out.
The middle is the throttle, loosen the 10mm nut and pull the cable outer out, hold the cam open with one hand then slide the cable inner out of the cam.

thanks alot for the quick reply!
i encountered this thing today. when i started up bike this morning, it sounded like its dying. i thought its 1 of the plugs not working as feels like running 3cylinders only, unable to push pass 8krpm. but later in the afternoon, i tried again before its confirmed plugs spoilt. but it fired up & its normal again. thought it was running rich so understood that plug spoilt but its back to normal. actually its not the 1st time. sometimes, never back to normal, so i just changed plugs.

These bikes seem to be VERY sensitive to carb settings & plugs, electrics etc.
If it's not exactly set up it will run badly, You could have a bad coil if it's not reving out properly.

i just changed my coils when i last encountered the problem. thats why its frustrated
it can sound like running extreme rich on 3cylinders now, later maybe a day later when i gave up, its back to normal. sometimes, never back to normal, i had to change plugs, then its ok. i even used denso iridium plugs, thought problem solved but come back 3 months later...
