Special / limited edition NC30? Only 200 made???

So, a new member has arrived on the nc30oc site (PaintM8) not sure if he's a member on here? maybe under another name? Anyway, he claims he has 1 (No64) of 200 ever made, of a Prototype NC30 with different cam set up & different jetting amoung other things..........................

These and a couple of others were the main importers of the vfr400r and the gentleman that runs the club remembered my bike and the person it was sold to as I'm its 3rd owner since in the county. He also has the import receipts etc etc and confirmed that it is one of 200 made! I have also found out that out of the 200 that were made (Prototypes) Mine is 1 of only 13 left. 4 of which are museum pieces."

WTF? If these bike were soooooooo special, where the fuck are the other 287 bikes???

Does he have anything to prove it is? I have never heard of a limited edition NC30.

There was a special edition NC21?? As follows, but no idea what made it 'special'

Yeah I love that Book also that is one of the few films that actually lives up to be as good as the book!

I am searching the honda press releases just now and havent found anything on the NC30. Have found this re my last post though.

If your friend knows about the other bikes and museum pieces etc..then this info is in the public domain and I am sure for the "I told you so" rights he will divulge the info to you!

I've never heard of it and there are probably only a few more geeky tossers than me!

I recall a TT aniversary option - 1991 bikes I think had the TT badge in the screen..doubt they were modded or only 200 were ever made.

hes probally just got a UK spec bike and maybe got the wrong end of the stick at the point of sale from a bullshit sell, just like my sister got lulled into buying a pedegree dog with a fake kennel club pedegree certificate, if you dont know what your looking for or about it, youll believe anything.

I, just as you are waiting for this info - ive spent an hour searching around & i cant even find any info on nc30's being in museum's, only private collections etc but as i said to him in my last post, am i searching wrong???

Ive also asked if he just means an UK bike, because we all know the bollox people say about UK 30's, only 200 produced etc but we'll have to wait & see.

It would be good if it was rea,l as we'd all have something else to hunt for on ebay - only 13 left in the world!

I cant read the text for the spec, my screen is too small, even when its on zoom but am i right in thinking this bike is just a standard bike in all colours with a IOM TT sticker? or was / is it, a plaqued & numbered thing like a clio williams 1.......... 2................... & 3?
