RVF RT Decals Question.

Post by wallie_555 »

On the seat unit is the satin numberboard and the purple and black sections decals or painted on?

Im getting a spare set painted up and have nothing to go on.

Sorry to slightly hijack the post but I thought all the detailing was painted On as mine is, so is all the purple and black on my mid and bottom fairings suppose to be decals? It would make the paint job cheaper? If so I would be interested in these decals!

Imageworks do them but there not spot on colour wise or design wise if your picky, only other option i know of is OE honda decals which are expensive. Silhouette panels are painted so it is possible to match the colours in paint although very tricky to do because of the shapes.

Let me know if you find anywhere that does a good match in decals

Well for curiosity i got a quote for OE decals and its way overpriced, £45 for a numberboard and the small flame piece itself is £15. Iv tried a few of the websites my old man used for his restorations but they dont do greybikes and need originals panels to make copies which i dont have.

Im not too fussed on the colour match so if image works come back with a decent price ill just go with them. If not ill find someone else eventually lol

i think everyone struggles with the purple colour to get a match
tried so many places to get it matched each fail and some are way off the mark.
genuine panels all the way if you want that new OEM look
