Regulator and wiring connector block - advice please

Had the bike two days! No problems yesterday, did a hundred or so miles, today decided to have a little run, an hour or so, after half an hour the bike cut out, after a whie started again, I thought maybe hot starting issues. Anyhow after about ten minutes or so it cut out again and trying to restart it flattened the battery.

Call the nice RAC man.

He says regulator and battery fooked.

He heads off to get a new battery to get me home, charging existing one for 30 mins did SFA, nice bloke pulls up and says "I had one of those I bet its the regulator wiring overheated"

Pulled the wiring connector off and it looks a bit fried

So I now have a new battery thanks to Mr. RAC man, probably a shot regulator and this dodgy connector

Questions are: Where to get a replacement regulator that works! Can I get a replacement connector block, or can this one clean up?

Ta

Someone on here (I believe it was Ricky) said apparently CBR125 reg/rec is a straight swap but I'm sure he'll be here soon to clarify. I want to change mine for peace of mind (and some dodgy rev drop when engaging high beams).

yes twas me, i can confirm that a CBR125 reg rec the older version PRE 2007 models its a direct swap.

in fact i know the cbr Reg/Rec is reliable as my wifes Reg/Rec is currently/temporarily wired into his Transalp 650, as it packed in the night before he left for the IOM TT so it was ricky to the rescue and i got him back on the road the same day.

he rewarded me with a TT t shirt and a Patch, and hell be buying me a drink no doubt too :)
