NC29 Vacuum Hose Bungs?
Hey all,
Am helping my mate, well actually i'm doing it all!
service and get his NC29 running again after it's been sat for over a year. Decided to strip the carbs off and clean for him.
Coming from each of the vacuum holes on the cylinders there is some plastic tubing about 6-8 inches long each and in SOME of them are small white bungs (this would explain why his bike never ran correctly).
My question is what is standard for this bike (I've an NC30 so not used to the 29). Should these trailing hoses be there (I assume it's for easier access for balancing the carbs etc) and the bungs seem to be what I can only describe as a polystyrene type material?? Are these both standard parts and if so where is best to get them (graeme france?).
If this isn't standard then what is correct for this instead?
Cheers all.

Hi there
There should be a short brass pipe ( for want of a better discription) screwed in to each intake stub on the cylinder head with a rubber cap on it, Though these can blow off. So the best thing to do is take out what you have and just put four 5mm screws in useing the sealing washer that should be on the original adaptors assuming they are still there.
(& assumption is the moher off all fuck ups).
So basically what you have is not correct & is probably sucking in a lot of air.
Hope that helps Pete.

Cheers for the reply Pete. I will try and see if GF has some of the standard parts.

yep thats the ones, you might like to buy the little clips that keep the plastic/rubber covers on but at least one of them was a pain to fit, number 1 I think . David Silver has them all as I bought some a while back.viper61 wrote:Can someone please confim to me that these are the correct parts for the vacuum bungs in each cylinder:
