 i havent done one yet, but will be before now and next friday..

i know the oil is only £20/£30

but earning £50 a week with part time job, and spending £20 of that on fuel per week, as well as saving up for family and partners birthdays, money has been an issue

There is a distinct possibility that the feint fuel smell, if a little stale and when warm is actually a little (or a lot!) of fuel in with the oil. Often happens when a bikes been sat.

Open up the oil filler cap whilst its a bit warm, you will soon be able to tell if its coming from the sump!

Save yourself some money in the long run if the oil is bad by replacing it

New oil & filter - £30

New engine - £300

Do the math. ;)

mine used to stink of fuel after a ride......turned out to be 4 leaking carb float bowls! Now sorted.

Still do get a v faint fuel smell from it tho - a sniff test over the bike concluded its coming from the petrol cap, it obvously doesnt seal 100% but thats nothing to worry about
