Hi, i got a set of standard R&G crash bungs for the nc30. I took the fairing off this evening and thought initially i had the correct engine mounting point but when i lined up the fairing, the bung will be in line with the upper fairing panel, is this corret?
cheers,
matt

Post up some pics as it makes it easier to see what your talking about.
I have some non-drill type crash bungs - you can see how they mount in this pic
Basically there is an adaptor which lowers them so they poke through the lower fairing - as seen in this pic of my bike in its track fairing.
Hope this helps?

It does help. Seems like i have the drill type, so they fit to the engine mounting point above where the non-drill type fit!?
I was unaware there were two versions available! Bugger!
The location of the drill type results in a really awkward drill point, right where the upper and lower fairing points meet!!

the non drill ones are nearly double the price and don't fit a uk spec bike due to the oil cooler pipes location if thats what you have ? i have a set of non drill ones on an import bike i bought, the last owner dropped the bike at low speed on the r/h bung which bent the bolt which resulted in cracking the lower panel kinda defeats the purpose of having them fitted as the panel was goosed even with a bung. heard stories of the drill types cracking engine mounts also but it maybe is just bad luck some folk have with them and itype of impact .
