nc30 not starting.

Post by rob b »

Hi.
Could somebody please help me out.
Back in nov/dec I flooded the bike but after a few days it cleares up. It has been in the garege for a few months so changed the oil & filter checked the bike over everything was ok. So checked the air in the tyres & the valve came out, put a new valve in wheel back on so I was ready to go for a spin. Bike would not start thought I must of flooded it again. So I changed the plugs it started but was a bit lumpy it then cut out & would not start.
So I got a new set of plugs put them in but no joy. The battery is strong their is spark. I checked the vacume pipe looks ok but you never know & when I turn the bike ove the vacume pipe is sucking is the right.
Talk about bad luck or what.
Hope you can help & have some ideas.

Thank you.

I'm pretty useless, but are you trying to use choke and is the kill switch is set to run? What was it running like before? Tried bump starting?

Well bit of a update. Thanks to Kris (ibby4585 ) hes a top bloke.
put some fuel down the fuel pipe started fist time & ran untill the fuel ran out. So I know were the problem is.It could be the vacume pipe because when the tank is back on it was a job to start & when it did it was like it was getting starved of fuel. The vacume pipe looks ok & is pulsing. Would it still pulse if its nackered or on its way out? Please give me you're info i'm verry greatfull.
Cheers.

There are three.

A fat one for the fuel line
a middle smaller one to drain any fluid out the tap - points down.
an outer smaller one for the vacuum line (sometimes points down or forwards)

Just re reading what you say - if the walls are pulsing on the vacum then it is on the way out. It is supposed to be tough enough not to collapse under the vacuum.

Get a new one from Rick Oliver..sorted :rocks:
