My New NC30 Repsol
Hi guys
I've just put a deposit down on this bike
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 522wt_1139
I'm not very experienced with these bikes so could you guys tell me if i'm on to a winner with this one or if i've bought a bag of crap.
Thanks :)

Re: My New NC30 Repsol
Well for starters I think the forks are on the wrong way round, and the calipers are back to front. The bodywork appears to be aftermarket, and the 'new' exhaust looks like a 2nd hand standard system to me. If your budget was £1649 I think you could have got a better one. But, that's just my view.

Re: My New NC30 Repsol
Would that make a difference to anything having the forks upside down and the callipers the wrong way ?
The exhaust is from 'fuel' and the current owner has the receipt for it
i got it for 1200 after a bit of haggling

Re: My New NC30 Repsol
I'm referring to this part:
''It has a new Stainless Steel exhaust system''
It cannot have a 'new' stainless steel exhaust system, it's just a 2nd hand standard system from what I can see.
I'm unsure if the forks/calipers being the wrong way would make a difference, I doubt it.
£1200 is a good bit of haggling!

Re: My New NC30 Repsol
The bad points that i know of are that in the last four years its only done 500 miles ( claimed to be part of a collection)
And the front wheel baring is due to be replaced ( is that an expensive job?)
And thanks! I bought my dad along and he is great with that and its also coming with the restrictors to make it 33bhp

id say youve paid a little over the odd tbh,
forks are the wrong way round, honda made one mistake (a rare one could be nissins though) when designing the NC30 the NISSIN logo points/faces inwards, this was rectifed on the RVF calipers tho.
also the oval bit that is on the outside of the forks should be on the inside, so you have the forks wrong way round, dont know weather it will affect it but if it isnt right by the book id look at changing it.
exhaust, Cheap Fuel can, can be picked up for 40-60 quid, i sold mine for 50, was a crap weighty can that looked gash on such a nice bike, was too big for it if im honest, as the for the other pipes look like standard but would need better pics to judge, remember most people will try sell a bike as best as they can to get more interest but at times unless you know the NC30 well before buying then its easy to get caught out,
i personally hate the Repsol Scheme its borring and repetative nearly every honda from 50-1000cc has had this scheme, hell even the CBR 125 has had it done to. but with the NC it wasnt a standard colour scheme so a lot of people tend to vere off course and do it to there own taste,
i would value the bike at 1000 if im being honest

Re: My New NC30 Repsol
Would you say it's a big job to change the forks?
I'm collecting the bike in just under a week so i'll post a load of pics then for you guys.
It's just passed it's mot so I doubt there is anything major wrong with it but i'll take it in for a good going over when I get it, is there anything i should be looking out for?
