On the switch, the first click up is sidelights and the second is dipped headlights.

so when I am on the second click up low is dipped and high is main ? or is this full beam as it lights up blue on my dash I was confused and thought maybe this is full beam like in your car where it illuminates blue I don`t want to dazzle drivers at nigth by driving with full beam not main beam on

Hi, ive got an NC23 and there is a slidey switch for turning the lights on/sidelights/off and a push button for the hi/low beam. You are right that the blue light on the dash is for full beam.

have you tried the switches in different positions and then looking at the lights? it should be a pretty obvious difference between dipped main lights and sidelights.

slide switch position " H "

lo is dipped
Hi is main or full ?

when I have it in the H position and I change it to HI the blule light comes on ?

Does this mean and lo is full if so how do I get dipped beam on ?

If its the same as the nc23 and early fireblade, your switch should look like this.

Image

the slider nearest the handgrip goes from off to sidelights to main. off is at the bottom.

to go from dipped to full beam, there is a push in button next to the slider, it has 2 positions, one is dipped and the other is full.

You might have different little pics or writing on yours but the principal should be the same.

Cheers

*serious face*
i guess we all had to start somewhere, i cant talk after what i did the other week that almost killed me!
the main bolts that hold on the front callipers only done up by hand. i forgot to spanner tighten! 30 miles later...top one came out, bottom one was 1/2 undone. front brake was pulling against the hose, locking on and almost had me off.
what if the calliper has ripped away from the hose......etc etc etc...
