Front brake lever action stiff

The brakes on my NC30 work reasonably, but the lever action is not as light as others I have tried and the lever is sluggish to return, not coming back instantly with a click as normal.

I have cleaned the caliper pistons externally and they go back with hand pressure and the discs are not binding, the wheel spins freely.

I have cleaned and greased all the lever pivots and replaced the master cylinder seals, piston, spring and boot, but action is the same.

I will bleed them again, and perhaps remove caliper pistons and seals to clean properly, but the pistons retract OK now.
Any one had this problem before?
Dave.

check the screw that mounts the lever to the perch isnt a tad to tight, i adjusted mine the other day as it felt a bit loose, if you go to far it will stick.

hope this helps dave

I've had this problem before, a new master cylinder sorted it.

I tried a rebuild kit for the master cylinder first, but it didn't help, the bore may have been scored or worn.

Worth looking at perhaps. Try swapping it with a spare master cylinder before buying a new one?
