Dipstick Measurement please
Hi, got to work this morning to find I had a wet oily foot and lower right bike, I lost my dipstick, somewhere? I had to use the plastic cover from the steering head, wrapped in tape to stop the flow, hopes it does not melt.
So, until I can get a new one can anyone give me the measurement from the bottom of the cap to the high and low markings on the stick, so I can see how much oil has left the bike and top it up again.
for the nc29 please.
thanks
dave

Re: Dipstick Measurement please
Tiredness I suppose. Done an oil change on Friday night, went to work Saturday (3am) didnt get back till 8pm, decided to check oil level, put bike upright, loosened the plug, checked level, decided to check after bike was cooler put dipstick in without turning, then forgot about it and went to bed, back out at 3am, didnt cross my mind to check, went to work then was reminded with a wet foot, simples..
BTW not related but... the bike was running fantastic this morning, wonders if the new oil made a difference, I used Castrol R1 for the second time, no problems with clutch slip as was forecast in an old thread of mine about different oils.

Took up tankuki's offer but still need those measurements please.. Dont want to bugger up the bike with too little or too much oil, so if anyone has a mm ruler and 5 minutes could they take a look, thanks.

Well they are possibly the same part, not certain as the later part of the part numbers are different, nc29=15650MV4000, nc23=15650KT8000 could be just model specific numbers but the same part. If you can take a ruler and find out it would be more helpful than just adding oil and wondering. Thanks.
