they do go on eventually with a bit of persuasion, the WD4o is a good idea.
try lining up the inside and the outside perfectly and then push the back of the carb rubber lip on at the back and then the front.
it does take a lot of jimmying but they do go on.............................eventually!!

what I used when my carb rubbers were really stiff was a paint stripper (or a hair dryer should work as well). Make sure the clamps are backed out as far as the can go, sit the carbs on and press down with all your weight.

NOT paint stripper !!!
It's caustic and will melt the rubbers - WD is petrochemical so that isn't great either (but probably won't hurt). silicon is best for this ... or lube
It's a biatch of a job - lube 3 of the inlets, then get one side in the unlubed and after that it's brute force and jiggling ... and swearing ... and anything else.
You feel good when the go in though.
then all you need to do is get the airbox on

Sod the consequences, smear some oil (I use two stroke) around the inside of the carb rubbers and the outside of the carbs. Don't go mad, just dip your finger in some oil and wipe it around the rim (oooh, that sounds a little dodgy, sorry).
It works though and I've never had any problems.

Ah I see
Silicon does the same thing as oil but it doesn't react with rubber and is safe even on Unique's rin... erm ... finger

Take off the top of your air box
And remove the filter
Put some sort of lube on the rubbers and line them up on the backs of the carbs
Stick your hand in the air box and push down on the front of one of the middle carbs and do up the clip for that one (Helpfull if you have another pair of hands)
Then do the other middle one, then the outside ones
I found this by far the easiest way
