RS250 shock replacing on nc30????

hi all ive been chatiing to someone about a rs250 shock.... aparently straight swap for mine? are they better than nc30 one? shurley the nc30 shock is made to be better than a 250 one???? anyone fitted one to there nc30 if so can i have a bit of insight into fitting? and pro's and con's????

the survey says..do a search dude..

bottom line - they are not a straight fit, they need a minor fettle

they need, ideally, revalving and respringing.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

hi, me and my son fitted a gsxr 600 k6 k7 all we had to do was take about 2mm of the top collar on the shock , we also had to cut part of the battery box but did not molest it we just cut small bits of at a time. hope this helps and by the way what an improvement its made. cheers gary

hi , yes fitted the gsxr shock to the nc30 i will take some pics over the wknd.if you ask me its alot easier than trying to fit the cbr shock.

Its worth noting that you will need a stiffer spring on both thr gsxr and cbrRR shock if you fit them to a NC. Linkage rates are much different on the NC which needs a heavier sping to work properly.

:plus: I have an RS250 shock with an Ohlins spring on mine and it's spot on. You have to mod the NC30 knuckle (take some mm's off either side of it) to fit the bottom of the RS250 shock. Nothing else to it. As McGeorge has said, you have to mod the battery box and move your battery if you want to fit the GSXR shock.
