R1 04/05/06 rad into nc30?

Post by pauliealdridge69 »

Has anyone ever tried to put an r1 rad into an nc30 or does anyone have any recommendations for an upgrade with out spending 550 on aluminium upgrades? Bike is for road use...

Cheers for any advice.....

i think you'll have some problems with front head - front wheel clearance but go for it, i'd love to see someone do it.

Think ive found a good one.....the air flow to the carbs on the nc30 all go over the top rad don't they? so if i had only one rad then i guess i would just need to make sure the gap at the top was the same to insure correct air flow...was thinking about ram air but i dont need get the speed up anymore for road use! would just like to help keep temperature stable and lower on longish runs....i see people have fitted r6 rads with no probs really....think i'll have a good look and go for it....do you think the standard water pump will be plenty to push round it or would i benefit from a pump? as i say its not gonna be raced flat out for ages....just road use

I can't see how you'd get it to fit without it fowling the front cylinder head.

I spelt fouling wrong. If you spelt it the way I did the first time you defnately wouldn't get it to fit. I don't think you're intending on catching ducks in your Rad are you?
