as title , speedo not working any ideas of what may be causing this ... its still attached to clocks tho

Hi Jim, usual cause is the at the gearbox end. The speedo cable gearbox uses a plastic adapter to the bike's transmission, this can get chewed up (fairly common on nc30's and other hondas).

Undo the 2 bolts for the speedo cable gearbox on the engine side cover and inspect the plastic part. It could purposely be made a weak link to prevent damage to the cable or speedo unit. Might be worth also fitting a new cable or lubing your existing one, this damage may be caused by resistance in the cable.

mine stopped working a while ago, was the speedo cable (had snapped). easy fix
