Hi,
I'm trying to locate the fuel filter on the nc30.
I went to a local bike shop and they gave me this fuel filter :
I can't find where to put it. The manual says its by the fuel tap. Theres some pics I took:
Is the filter there somewhere (do I just unscrew everything? Or is it a built in filter?
Any advice will help out. I want to put it back together today still, for a morning test run tomorrow.

its a built in filter inside the petrol tank pal,
there isnt really room for a filter, i bought some and couldnt fit it in so left without on,
also there are 4 FILTERS on each of the float valves in the carbs so you efectivly have 2 filters to each of the carbs any way.

As porndog says...
There isnt a fuel filter like that one as such on an NC30 so hopefully you didnt waste too much time looking! There is a basic strainer type one inside the tank behind the fuel tap.

Sorry i made a typo on that, there are 4 Aditional Filters on the bottom of the Float valves,
i put there are for floats on the floats! brian freeze
so as i meant there are two filters before the fuel gets to the carbs.

So I should take apart the bit in the photos and just clean out the strainer inside it then?

yeah undo the 3 8mm headed m6 bolts, and give the filters a good clean with carb cleaner be carefull as they are fragile,
make sure the tank is empty before you remove the tap btw.

Hi mate, the filter the bike shop gave you can be fitted in-line with the fuel line.
Once the fuel leaves the tap through a black hose, it can be fitted by cutting the hose and slotting it in there. I had one fitted on an old NC30 I had once.
But as said you can just take off the fuel tap and give that a clean inside.

I had a fireblade where the in-tank screen had perished, split and wasn't doing a job anymore. So instead of paying Big H's silly prices for a new one, I bought a universal filter and stuck it inline on the fuel hose to the carbs. Only just barely enough room, but it worked fine - got to be better than the screen filter anyway.

Maybe you can do similar?
