Hand Guards and other accesories CB400 NC31

Hello everybody!

I got myself a 93 CB 400 SF for commuting around London and my hands are freezing cold.. I thought of getting heated grips and heated gloves but I dont think they ll solve the problem. The problem is the cold wind that hits my gloves. Has anyone fitted hand guards/wind deflectors on his bike? I found these ones

Also I m looking for a rear hugger and a bellypan.. Any idea where to look for things like that?

I don't think they will do much good, but may make you quicker through tight urban filtering
Get some gore-tex gloves if you don't have them yet. Try the lobster claw type gloves, they really make a difference. Electric grips are of on bikes with big fairings but no real use on a naked, as they don't keep the backs of your hands warm.

Muffs is the real way forward but I couldn't get used to them, and found them really uncomfortable to use. Other than that, electric gloves would be best.

Some good advice from Aaron there.
I have used UFO handguards a few years back on my 125. They do make a difference. Just get a few plastic ones, the bigger the better.


I use heated grips on my deauville now. Together with proper gloves like the crab claw ones they might keep you warm.

I ve seen the muffs on other bikes.. Well.. I bet they work especially with heated grips but who wants to spoil the looks of the bike with them?? he he Usually Domino's delivery boys have them.. and couriers.. I ll try the gloves you mentioned. I have the Buffalo gloves which in all honesty with the freezing demperatures in December and January they didnt do much.. I was wishing for a red light to hug the engine.. the thing is that before I got my Buaffalos I read thouroughly all the reviews.. Which means.. DONT TRUST REVIEWS!!
Learned the lesson now.

Thanks.. I m already on ebay looking for gloves and handguards.. I ll post some pictures of the bike with them on as soon as I get them..
