FAO TSR Ti SP1 system owners

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble fitting my TSR SP1 system to my '30.

I had to cut the rear section off of the downpipes, so they're shorter than standard, the right hand side pipe fits with barely any clearance, but the left side refuses to go on without bending the indicator out of the way

Has anyone got any tips on how to get it to fit without bending the indicators? They're standard early type ones, and they touch on the underside and rear of the housing I'm considering getting some slimline ones from my TZR that look stockish, but shouldn't touch so badly (not something I want to do as I like the look of the stock indicators tbh

My left side fits fine, the right side needs about 3/4 inch off the standard front downpipes to bring the can towards the front of the bike. The collors are not welded on so just need cutting through and prised off.

Kris and i have come to the conclussion TSR must have used these systems with aftermarket front pipes, no amount of tweeking will line them cans up without cutting the down pipes.

My hangers also need spacing out about 10mm

As for the left side try loosening everything off and tweeking the pipe until the can clears the indicator then tighten it up whilst holding it in that position.

Yes, it is a hard job to fit these TSR Ti SP1 system on the bike with standard rear manifold and standard front down pipes.

Believe it or not....it is actually half system and half system only. So really no front Ti pipes off factory ever made.
The reason? It is all about the money...money talks of course but not at the time when they produced these systems for the NC. It was too expensive already for the aftermarket group of enthusiastics.

You need to try loose fitting first on both sides. Check if everyting has clearance. It is a tight fit with everthing in place, it needs removal of the rear pillion pegs, but it does need the fitting on these mounting points on the subframe. Use an extra nut and possible few extra washers before you put the exhaust can hanger on each side. I used extra nut and 2x washers per side to space the angle of the end can more to the outside/away from the indicators. Best is to source slim indicator types. Not the bulky ones.

This TSR Ti system is made for high performance output hence dual output without compromise of fitting indicators...you wont need them on a trackbike, right? But we fit them on street bikes...so yes, it is an issue for us.

I was in the same boat as you both. Spoke to Tony earlier on about this, I did everything heat and bend the hangers, spacer nuts between the hanger to push them out a bit. In the end I made some tab brackets to between the can strap and the high level hanger, mine stick out quite far but don't touch the bodywork or indicators.

Well, he is the first pioneer on this forum that has this tsr ti sp1 system fitted.

Steve has a different seatunit and tiny indicators, so you probably wouldn't have any fitting problems.
