i finally have the money to fix my RVF400 properly, and i would like to do some little mods. Fist i would like a LED brake light and i have one that i like the look of.
the dimesions are:
Casing dimensions: 108 x 53 x 32mm
now what are the RVF ones and is it possible to use these ?

If you had a spare tail light unit you could send me, with the flying lead and connector still attached, I could build an LED one for you. My new job starts Monday so it would probably be a couple of weeks before I could get it back to you though.
Shouldn't cost too much either, I'll only charge a tenner on top of materials as you're 400GB

Yeah, I can build an LED board but I'll do it in the kitchen where it's warmer at the moment
All I need is a tail light unit with the wiring loom still attached so I have the OE connectors to use
I'm thinking of doing one for the 24 so I'll post pics when it's done

you probally allready know, but make sure you wire them in paralel as i found with leds if you get one go they all go, its like an age old tradition of christmas lights.

If I use 3.3v LEDs I use a 560ohm resistor (wattage rating dependant on the number of LEDs I am using) but I can get 12v LEDs which have the resistor built in

Im not totally sure what your trying to get at, cant you just measure the RVF rear light to see if it'll fit?
Do you have a pic of the led light you want to use?
