Post by iSparkzz »

i finally have the money to fix my RVF400 properly, and i would like to do some little mods. Fist i would like a LED brake light and i have one that i like the look of.
the dimesions are:
Casing dimensions: 108 x 53 x 32mm

If you had a spare tail light unit you could send me, with the flying lead and connector still attached, I could build an LED one for you. My new job starts Monday so it would probably be a couple of weeks before I could get it back to you though.

Shouldn't cost too much either, I'll only charge a tenner on top of materials as you're 400GB :peace:

Yeah, I can build an LED board but I'll do it in the kitchen where it's warmer at the moment

All I need is a tail light unit with the wiring loom still attached so I have the OE connectors to use :peace:

I'm thinking of doing one for the 24 so I'll post pics when it's done

what size resistor you using steve?

If I use 3.3v LEDs I use a 560ohm resistor (wattage rating dependant on the number of LEDs I am using) but I can get 12v LEDs which have the resistor built in :peace:

Im not totally sure what your trying to get at, cant you just measure the RVF rear light to see if it'll fit?

Do you have a pic of the led light you want to use?
