ethos half
ok got an ethos half sys on me nc, front pipes and rear pipes come up under swing arm and the adapter joins them together then slots into the can , has anyone removed the joiner and turned it into a twinstack, as its all slot together and held by springs surley this can be done with little effort, are there cans and link pipes ready availible to do this say from tyga or the like, or would i need to get links made up special
not a very good pic of my ethos but looked on the exhaust thread and cant find an exact match for mine on there

Re: ethos half
Yes it's been done check out my seed bike, it has a full Ethos system with ethos link removed to accommodate GF link pipes leading to a Mercury twin stack!

Re: ethos half
and to answer Q to the Ehtos half system...yes, this can be done. The last Y-piece of the half system that just sits next to the swingarm needs to be replaced by 2 link pipes (custom made) to fit perfectly over the ethos pipes. Then just get twin stack cans (you can try the ones from tyga) in the wished length and material. Should not be a hard job.
Here is an Ethos half system compared to the Ethos full system...so you can see the differences and lengths and style variations of the last Y-piece (note that the Y-piece on the Ethos half system is pop-riveted and fixed to the end can, this end can is slightly few mm shorter on the half system whereas it is longer on the full system).

Re: ethos half
micpec how many ethos systems are there ?, mine is a half system but is diferent to the 2 you posted ,
im guessing a full system consists of , front down pipes that join to a collector, then run up under the swinger. and the rear pipes are full pipes that attach directly to the rear cylinders without the need for the twisty manafold bit and run to there own collector, keeping front and rear pipes seperate till there all collected together at the end can.
a half system is basically the same but the rear pipes conect to the standard twisty manafold, and a collector for the standard front pipes which all join together at the can ,
mine is the latter and was sold to me as an ethos system from geoff on here and i have no reason to doubt there anything other than what he said they are, really nice set of pipes with a carbon can, really nice sound , not too loud , but does have an annoying rattle to them at certain rev, they are all tight and no leaks so im guessing its a resonance thing maybe , any thoughts on this??
so would be interested to know how many different ethos systems were released , ill try post some better pics at the weekend,

Re: ethos half
There is only 2 ethos systems on the pics I posted. The full system replaces the complete standard exhaust system including removal of the front downpipes and rear manifold. Ethos supplies in their full system kit 4 exhaust cylinder output mounts. I believe the full system of tyga are supplied with them too.
The ethos half system only replaces the standard NC half system but requires the standard front downpipes and rear manifold as per standard NC.
The exhaust system that you found on page 29 of the Exhaust Thread is for sure an TSR half system! Note the Y-piece where you see the small metal piece with the round holes in it! That is only done by TSR on their half systems to fit the 2 pcs exhaust can springs
Can you post some pics of your (TSR) half system?
