What master cylinder?

Post by chrisja2 » Wed Jan 12, 2011 5:38 pm

Ok i have some rvf forks that have firestorm calipers on, do i now need the master cylinder to match? What determines the size of the m/c rewuired and how do you work out which one is needed? What sizes do they actually come in?

Cheers

Chris.

Firestorm calipers are the same as rvf calipers.

Whichever, best to stick with the master cylinder size that comes with the calipers.

If you want to be sure, go on ebay & just get a vtr m/c but as far as im aware, it'll be 5/8th's, so same size as a late 90's to early 00's fireblades or similar. alot of my lot use pre raidial R1 m/c's. dont go too big though.
