nc23 or nc29 question?
i am i believe that both NC23/29 are babyblades or is it just the NC29??
if you search "Baby Blade" on google it comes up with the NC29 but on website people call the 23 a babyblade also which rather confuses me

I would say that it's the NC29, as the NC23 stopped production a couple of years before the proper fireblade was released.
'89 CBR400RRJ and '91 VFR400R NC30 project
Neosophist - The NC30 doesn't go very well when it's on fire

Dare say an politicians would mind
I also believe that the NC29 was only named baby blade in the later models, as the first "fireblade" was 1992.
I have also heard that early model NC29 where actually called fireblades before the 900cc versions where.

Seconded... the NC29 looks more like a 'Blade anyways, the NC23 was released WELL before the Fireblade was even thought of.BillingCBR wrote:I would say that it's the NC29, as the NC23 stopped production a couple of years before the proper fireblade was released.

Re: nc23 or nc29 question?
From what I know, I would say its the NC29 simply because Honda was having great success with the 900 worldwide and marketing and selling the popular NC29 as a blade in Japan at that time may have helped in sales with the buyers there, as the majority didnt have the correct licence due to the seemingly restricted laws imposed at the time, so the NC29 was the only other official FirebBlade. I always look at the 900 as the slightly fatter and chunky version of the NC29 and Im sure they wanted that family resemblence but I do think the NC23 was very close to the earlier design of the 750RR, which never made it into production and Honda made the RC30 instead.
But hey, they are CBR 400s whatever model so babyblade seems to be the general accepted term, I wouldnt worry about. Also they tend to call the 250 babylade and have even seen people mention the 125 in the same babyblade way. CBRs have the Fireblade, the V4s have the RC30.
I wonder why the 600 mob dont go for the Fireblade theme?

Perhaps because the 600 has only recently become a race replica?Durka Durka wrote:I wonder why the 600 mob dont go for the Fireblade theme?

Technically the NC23 is the CBR400 Hurricane.

And the Aero previously to that

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.
