Tyga conversion NC 29
I've started to convert my '94 NC 29 with a Tyga RC211v kit . Already ordered an recieved :
RC211v rear street kit

Carbon rear hugger with chainguard

Tyga parts supplied by jap4performance , with a big thank you to Gavin . Delivery within 3 days to The Netherlands !
Will be ordering within the next 2 weeks :
TYGA carbon front fender & RC211v front street kit
Already have a rearset from Kaneg , for which I machined new adapters to fit the NC 29

Also have bought a used fueltank

And a subframe , which I have modified ( as specified by Tyga ) and resprayed .

I dont know what I will do with all the original parts , keep or sell ....
Other changes will be :
Koso RX2n dash
Redesigned exhaust system with Laser GP X-treme
Wave discs
Titax levers
Xenon lights
After all this , the bike will be tuned on the Dyno
So I will be busy this winter

Keep the original parts, then when you come to sell her (maybe?) then put the oe stuff back on and flog the Tyga bits. Is it going to be in the standard colours? Oh good luck,
Chris.

As has been said, keep the parts and if you ever sell the bike convert it back to standard

That's right , however I wanted to keep all the original parts as they where ... So I bought a used subframe and didn't bend the brackets but removed them . After that I resprayed the subframe .Gavin jap4 wrote:their are a couple of brackets that need to be bent out of the way thats allatkins2010 wrote:do you have to modify the rear sub frame ? i thaught it was a like for like fairing , i was thinking of getting these fairings for my bike think the look quality

All parts from Tyga fit perfect , I'm rebuilding at the moment . Just have to wait on the carbon airduct .
BTW great service by Gavin jap4

Also bought the Translogic Dashboard MD2 , so I have to modify the meterstay a bit .

This sounds pretty much like what I'm doing with one of my nc23's once I've completed the full rebuild. I'm looking forward to seeing how yours turns out with the Tyga kit.

A picture of my NC 29 as it is today .

Still to do :
Connect the Translogic Dash
Finish the new exhaust system
Mount Wave discs ( front & back )
And some other small optical changes

Coming together nicely, really like the rearsets. Wouldnt mind a set of those on my track bike. Did you have to machine some adaptors to fit?
Are you uprating any of the suspension?
Chris.
