Crankcase & piston rod bearing shells?
Casing: A B B B
Piston: A B B A
2 2 2 2
Crank: B A A A
2 1 2 1
I cannot figure out what kind of crankcase & main bearing shells I need for my NC35
Anyone?
Cheers!

Re: Crankcase & piston rod bearing shells?
You need
Main bearings
A+2 = green, B+1 = green, B+2 = brown, B+1 = green
Con Rods
B+2 = brown, A+2 = green, A+2 = green, A+2 = green
That is your starting point, the numbers are just a guide you need to use plastigauge to measure the oil clearance and work out the correct size bearings shells from the actual clearance, the colour code on the bearings refers to a oil clearance EG: above B+2 = brown = 30.002 - 30.010mm oil clearance, for example the clearance should be between 0.025 - 0.049 if you measure a clearance of 0.060 the you need to fit a green shell into B+2 to account for the wear on the crankshaft journal green = 29.994 - 30.002mm, swapping brown for green will give you a 0.016mm smaller oil clearance so 0.060 now becomes 0.044
does any of that make sense?

Re: Crankcase & piston rod bearing shells?
It makes perfectly sense. But when I want to order the shells, do I need to order 2x of each color code or do they come in pairs ( 13323-ML0-721 )
