Air filter pre filter
Just got to ask what exactly the purpose if the little pre filter is , cant really see any point to it myself unless im missing something completely obvious

I have replaced it as the one on the bike was disintegrated but whether its just me or not it seemed to make a difference on the cold start as it was much easier ( not that it was hard anyway ) and needed far less choke and this was after standing in my shed for a week unstarted at -2 outside.

Its just part of the emissions re breather I think. A new piece of foam is around £5 but I have used a piece of lightly oiled packing foam before without any problems.

Could it be partly there as a noise baffle?
