MOT this morning - UPDATE! - Green Ticket Awarded!

Post by thunderace »

MOT at 9am a la Rocket Centre, wish me luck

The NC24 hasn't been on the road since the end of 2001 but I'm sure I've sorted everything

Oh c'mon guys, it's an NC24 with all the love and attention he's lavished on it, it will have sailed through the test and, naturally he's gone out for a spin. 8-)

One green ticket proudly in my hand

Only 4 advisories - rear tyre only 1.6mm tread (which I knew about anyway), rear brake dragging slightly, small blow on collector (again!) and levers hitting clocks.

All in all a nice happy morning

Getting her taxed from 1st December when Sprint tax runs out so I can use her while I do a few repairs and refurb the Sprint to sell in the spring.

Oh, the exhaust sound even with the blow is pure porn!

I prefer the 180 firing sound of the NC24.

The NC30 sounds nice but alien, doesn't sound like the engines running right, it may grow on me yet though :ugeek:

Amen to that!

Just riding the few miles to Rocket this morning, it was sounding like a Ferarri V8

One annoying thing I found this morning is that a little red light pops up menacingly when I hit 90kph  Anyone want a dash bulb?

Nice one. Depite all the love and attention we lavish on our bikes I always think it's a releif to get a pass.
I've had a tester fail my bike because the left lever fouled the clocks. Even the garage owner sid he was being a dick because all nc30s do. The garage boss lent me a 10mm spanner to appease the MOT tester just so I could move the lever down.
Glad you got your bike passed.
How hard can it be?
