Dyno?
I'm a wee bit curious, won't get to a dyno for a few weeks, who has dyno'd a super four? What kind of HP are they generally putting out? I have seen a CB-1 make 49rwhp in standard form. My Bros650 was making 71rwhp (before I decided to send it down the road on it's side, poor thing) and I managed to squeexe 36rwhp from a VT250 Spada last year, wasn't easy though.

That's more than expected! I thought they were 53 at the crank...
I better get a K&N and a decent end can. Can't hear the damn thing unless you are going hell for tit.

Re: Dyno?
Mine certainly doesn't feel like it has such a smooth power/torue curve. It's gutless until 6+Krpm.

Re: Dyno?
Perhaps it's normal for them to feel that week? A bit of an irritation because in NZ we have a speed limit of 60mph/100kph and it has bugger all pull in a roll on at those speeds. Or am I too accustomed to V-Twins?
A speed trip would be a very worthy replacement of a CB

Re: Dyno?
The reason they feel weak at low rpm is simply because it is just a 400cc engine, and being a 4 cil doesn't help either.
You just need to rev it, to get it to go. That's the thing I loved about it, but I also hated it.

Re: Dyno?
Yes, that sounds very logical. I might drop a tooth on the front and see how well that works out for me.
I flushed the brake fluid today and filled it with 5.1 synth. They feel nice now, not wooden and beige.

Re: Dyno?
I might look at getting a set
Braided lines always seem to make a nice difference in my experience. Plus, they look neat.
