Tyga twins with maggots
Anyone ever run tyga full system twins with Moto maggots?
Would look sweet and probably sound great. I'm in the market for a single or double maggot full tyga system and need to know before pressing the BUY button.
Thanks, any thoughts are appreciated.
Oh ya.......a 95 RVF no previous mods.

Re: Tyga twins with maggots
A quick search will tell you the maggot is a loud can, very loud. If that doesnt bother you then go for it, i can think of better cans to go with but twin maggots would look cool.
Might be best to go up a size or 2 on the main jets, extra washer under the needles and HRC slide springs

Only deaf people would consider this. And if they're not deaf, won't be long before they are.
It would look ace though. DO IT!!

Re: Tyga twins with maggots
Hi, i had twin megaphone pipes on my nc30, they looked and sounded great but was TOO loud, they did actually give me a head ache and made me ears ring so be warned! Tho you could always put in a couple of baffles, if you can get them for Maggots?
Heres a pic :

I've myself a twin Micron system now, with stubby cans, but you'll have to wait a day or two to see that!
Cheers

Sounds like it might be a bit much in terms of db's. I love the look of the maggots though and here in Canada we are always having to put up with the countless Harleys running straight pipes. I don't think there are any issues with sound law enforcement but if I'm going to not enjoy the level of sound it may not be a good choice. Too bad the youtube videos don't give an accurate idea of the volume and tone. I want to go the twin stack route for sure so Carbon cans it just might have to be.
Thanks for the advice guys.

You won't be able to run twin maggot's anyway as they are a 50.8mm (2inch) inlet and the pipework on the twin stack's are 38mm ish from memory, you could contact Paul at tyga and see if he can make you up a couple to fit and they would be a bit quieter due to the size but probably not much.

Re: Tyga twins with maggots
Hiya, there just a couple of cheap ebay jobbies for a old british bike think they were about £15 each and came with adapters for differant pipe sizes, i only did it as an experiment to see how loud they would be before i spent a fortune on stainless ones. but they were too loud to put up with long term, which is a shame really cos i really like the look.
But having said that my stubby micron pipes look good now that ive done the stainless link pipes.
Cheers

I know a guy in Stoke that makes one off mega style cans and could/would build to any given spec.
