fairing fixings

Hi folks

where is the best place to get hold of the fairing rubber o ring fixings that you push the panels in to hold them on and the fixings what I can assune are the dzus type fixings? My frame is devoid of 90% of them and has been fixed with volumes of electrical tape on the pins to pack then out

Not sure what you mean by fairing rubber O ring fixings?? if you want a pack of fairing screws try http://www.tastynuts.com/Products/Honda ... _NC30_8994 these kits come with dzus fasteners and most other mounting screws.. I think he means the rubber grommets that fit into the lugs on the frame?

aha grommets thats the word I was after.

Tastynuts are really over-priced for what they are. I can get stainless steel marine grade bolts for a fraction of the cost from a trade supplier.

Atleast with tasty nuts its just a kit you order and away you go, no need to try and find part numbers and thread lenghs etc.. If you can get a full fairing set in Stainless steel for less than what the normal run of the mill fairing kit suppliers can then please post up part numbers and ordering information as im sure there will be quite a few takers..

I must agree with Thunderace that for Stainless Tasty nuts are a bit on the steep side as in rope your selves together it that steep, but the anodised are not to bad, as a local stainless stockists up my way are a bit scarce

Let me know what sizes and quantities for the different bikes and I'll try and put a package together.

I buy bolts in packs of 50 or 100 depending on size (works out way cheaper than buying 5 or 10) so I always have a decent stock of popular sizes in M5 and M6 threads.
