Can you help make my cbr400rr nc29 amazin?
Hey, I am wanting to add on extras to my bike to make it look cosmetically sound. Do you have any suggestions of things i could do and links of web pages where aftermarket parts, accessories and bits are available from? Thanks

.
since NC29 are quite old and the parts are very hard to find, you can use other aftermarket parts from newer model that will fit to your bike.
try to browse at tyga performance for the fairings, don't know if you like them. For the aftermarket parts and accessories, i always look for the main distributor. Or you can try ebay, lots of items there.

At the moment i can only afford things like yoke covers, foot pegs, lighting etc. Next year i am planning on changing the fairings. Is there a rear end from another bike that will fit onto the nc29 becuase that would be the first part i would change? Also do you know what parts from other bikes fit mine? Thanks

in my opinion, for both look and more importantly the sound ill say get a decent can on there first, you can pick up cans fairly cheap on ebay and such, if you want some other small cosmetic stuff you could look at heel plates, rear sets and such, the best places for getting stuff as said above is either tyga/jap4, ebay and of course the for sale section on here should be your first port of call. as for the rear end many people fit cbr600 rear ends, ive also heard of r1 rear ends fitted too (see the gallery section in graphics and style) there are the tyga and kconversions ones too

id spend the money on getting the suspension, brakes and air/fuel flow sorted before looking at cosmetics.

*hands tanuki a cold drink and tells him to sit down to get over the shock*
DB screens are a good thing. i remember battling to hold on at high speeds with a normal screen BUT DBs do create MORE wind noise but ride is more comfortable.

yeah same as above really i think just geral maintanece to begin with,
checking and changing springs in front shocks, oil, ect,
rear shock replacement - cbr6 or maxton, ect ect,
carbs and valve clearance and bearings, rest is just cosmetic really,
ops ive just read "to make it look cosmetically sound"
put what ever you want on really, but i do think orginal parts will retain the value and quality of your bike for the near future
if not, flea bay offer alot of chinease parts for nc29, along with Tyga fairings standard and non standard shapes.

for a rear end yes a 600 but go for the rr end if any bear in mind subframe, lights, undertray.... all cost and need mods to fit. also battery needs moving. the other 1 not seen often is ass off of aprillia 250. also with the rear shock a 600 needs a new kickstand or the lean angle is ridiculously close to falling over. as LP says get a good can, check your exhaust is going to last aswell, possibly replace both and get carbs rebalanced.
