size of decals ??

Can someone who has an nc29 in the colour scheme (or one like it) below do me a big favour if they have 5 mins spare ? can you measure ( Width & length) some of the decals on the fairings for me ? in particular the large CBR & honda on the side's.

I only have the model before this one which doesn't have the honda logo on the bellypan but does heve the cbr logo on the fairing.

As long as you think its the same size as the one in the pic then yeah that will be fine :-)

I think that bike belongs to someone in Ireland, one of the cleanest ive seen.

I dont have the OEM graphics but do have the imageworks pattern if it helps.

Bellypan: Honda 375mm x 45mm

Side panel: CBR 340mm x 90mm, Now this is tricky as my graphics cut off at either end, so i took the measurement from the back of the "C" and to the far right of the "R" upper circle piece shadow, I noted it went 20mm further on from the bottom of the "R" before it cut at the end of the graphic if you catch my drift? Thats as close as I can get.

Also the nose Honda decal is 100mm and the Fireblade logos are 240mm

EDIT: Just had a thought, all you need is the height of the decal, as long as its the same aspect it should be the right length.

Thats fine mate, they dont have to be 100% exact. From looking at piccys of other nc29's with this colour scheme there seems to be alot of variation anyway, the one on the haynes manual is different to others ive come across ?....I like the scheme but not the colours, so im going to try and copy it from one i found on the net but using yellow/black & silver...like this one !
The rear stripe on the rear panel on this one is different to others ive seen aswell, i think this is one that someone has copied from the original design too.

Dont like the colours!! naa, they are bootiful, but each to his own. Yep, the Haynes manual has an aftermarket set of decals on. I cant understand how no one seems to be able to copy the OEM designs succesfully, very odd.

Good look in your design, hopes we see some pics when its done. There are a few sellers on ebay who will print the CBR and the rear RR to the colours you require, the rest are just one colour vinyl, easy to get.

I did consider painting my design and just getting the graphics like you are doing but decided I could not fade from purple to red easily, being a beginner to painting bikes.

LOL...well i must admit the red white & blue is prob the best out of all of the nc29's ive seen with this sort of design, the only others ive seen are black/purple/grey & silver?/red/black (not quite silver...more like a drab gold)... I did wonder if there were any others ??.......i also did wonder if this yellow & black one was an original colour scheme...but looking at the OEM design its slightly different, so perhaps not !

I know what you mean about decals, I'm havin a nightmare trying to find someone on fleabay for them, I can only find 1 person that sells decals that look like the original's but CBR is wrong & they dont give any sizes ! hence why i asked decal sizes so i know roughly how big they should be.
I cant find anyone that can sell the RR decal in the 2 colours (white/red) its sposed to be in...they just sell 1 colour ! .......Ive found the CBR http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

As for painting the red & blue....I would imagine youd paint the blue first & then the red....half trigger on the spray gun where the red goes over the blue it should turn purple (the blue semi shows through the red)
