They are more than likely gummed up or stuck open around the float area. Take your carbs off, clean them internally and check float heights and that they move on the pins, finally check that the float valves are working and sealing correctly. Hopefully this will help and get the bike working.

If it's not the floats it could be the "O" rings between each individual carb.

Mine spewed petrol out of the carbs when i first started it, had been stood for a couple of years too. Stripped the carbs and found the floats had stuck as the pertol had turned gummy. Strip your carbs out and give em a good service, the bike will thank you for it. :peace:

Cheers people took off the carbs floats 2 and 3 were sticky and the needles had a nice layer of yellow goo on them, have not got an air line so used loads of carb cleaner and lots of blowing (hope that is enoughas i can now see through the jets) hoping to put them back on tomorrow.

Got the carbs on and fired her up cleaning them out did the trick, she runs but roughly as soon as i try to let it idle it stalls, would balancing them sort this ?

More than likely you didn't clean every jet. Meaning EVERY single screw and jet that can come out. That plus balancing the carbs would help.
