Ive had a problem with a battery before this it ran flat 1 year old battery and the cells were dry as a bone inside the battery it also blew a fuse in the soilenoid switch before but i put this down to me powerhosing the bike .
She also has t tripswitch fitted but this isint faulty we did a test with a multimeter.

It was the regulator/rec was burnt out lucky had a spare opened up old 1 for a look and saw some black inside did a few tests with a multimeter afterward on the battery learned a fair bit from it .
talk about puttin it in an unaccessible place on the super four right near rear swingarm n behind the wheel one of the bolts snapped that was holding it in but was very lucky me da welded a snot on the end and it came out with a small vise grips afterward.

Not sure but that snapped bolt just might have caused your problem the reg/rec needs to be firmly grounded so as to disperce the heat generated through getting rid of the extra current generated by dumping it through the frame.
