Clear Indicators & Led Bulbs & other new bits (pics+vid)
Dont you just love it when you have few days off and the postie brings you goodies!!
Time to get tinkering!
Clear indicators from Hong Kong and LED Bulbs

Rick O Fork Uprate Kit

Single seat cowl, painted by my good self!

Cowl:

Just need to find someone to do me a new red outline stripe thingy on the rear so it carries over the top of the cowl, any ideas??
I'm really liking the new indicators, they still retain the original look yet update the overall look slightly too!
Fitted with LED bulbs inside so they now match the LED rear light. Sweet!

Yep changed the relay for a generic LED one, had a bit of a mare with that! The first one I got didnt work at all (duff relay) so exchanged for another, that worked but gave the bike hazards instead of indicators.
But thanks to the font of knowledge that is cammo, sussed that its the idiot light on the dash that causes the problems. Just need a couple of diodes and all will be well!
Very weird not hearing the tick-tick-tick of the indicator tho!

Ok, so I've wired up the LED indicators in my rear lights as well now, what do you guys think?
I quite like them, or do they look daft???

So the brake light flashes with the Indicator?
I dont think clear lights look that nice these days, but they dont look too bad. (I wouldnt do that to my NC24 tho, but its personal taste)

The back lights have a set of amber LED's built into each side that can be used as indicators

graham would you say that the led bulbs are brighter than conventional bulbs been thinking of replacing my stop/tail bulbs with them but most sellers say they are not as bright as normal bulbs

I found that the back light LEDs are brighter but that is a purpose made unit originally for a ducati.
The indicator bulbs are not quite as bright as normal bulbs but not enough to loose sleep over!!

Be carefull with a back light like that, if indicators interfere with the operation of the back light or brake light or visa versa you will fail an mot! Cant tell if the red leds in the back light are going out when the yellow ones come on but if they do you could be in trouble.
Look cool tho.
