Exhaust Bandage?

im thinking of wrapping my exhausts from the head down to the branch manifold on my SS tyga,
in grey exhaust bandage, anyone think its a good or bad idea, and how much would i need?

i think its a good idea because
one because it will drop the temp under plastics, and maybe keep things a little cooler down there,
and surrounding areas also i wont have the maintenance factor of rust, and polishing, and websites claim to improve performance but not interested in that tbh,

i have been also recomended hamerite barbeque spray paint rated upto 600deegrees Celsius,

the pipes are at the verge of savour and im going to scrub them down and polish them but i dont want to do this all the time!

my time is precious especially as the wife wants a classic beetle for my to rebuild! which i kinda promised after getting a bike

I heard wrapping increases the chance of corrosion? May be wrong though.

if thats the case then scrap that idea, i think maybe barbeque paint, what temp to NC30 pipes get up to?

Don't you dare BBQ Tyga pipes! My Tyga system has done near on 10k miles with hardly any corrosion. Just clean them up proper, treat them and don't ride in the winter.

FYI - Good quality wrapping isn't cheap either, and you'd need a fair amount. Cost a mate £40 to wrap his Harley.

I use it on the front headers on my racebike (mainly because the radiator nearly touches the pipes), really happy with it.

treat them with what exactly?

im going to keep the tygas clean and shinney where i can with ease but dont want to have to take the pipes out to clean them all the time!

cammo, do you recomend my idea of just the areas withing my faring/plastics, but i would like to BBQ them first what you think?

i wont paint i think ill bandage the heads and polish the rest TBH

what temp do the pipes get up to?

Has to be 250-350*C.
Go for the graphite wrap, the more fancy colours (even black) will fade after several heat cycles/wet weather.

Edit: My mate has graphite on his Harley and it looks pretty trick.
