I think that seat is a monstrosity... :?

Do you not have Harrier jets coming to land on it?

Mate in all fairness if you don`t like it just say it you don`t have to be ironic,I also think it`better than the tyga seat unit, and if you don`t appreciate the work that has been put in its your problem,i`m a youngster I may do silly choices and try to bring the bike to a nowadays look,if you would`ve seen the seat unit that came with the bike you would have been terrified. To be fair I don`t like the standard nc30 look.

I knew that the purists will say that I`ve destroyed the bike.

You asked...!

It is too long IMO..

At the end of the day, it is your bike so you will do what you want to it.

I think that as the NC is a small bike then fitting a "normal" sized tail from another bigger bike makes it look out of balance.

Irony eh? ;)

I have to say in the pictures it looks huge, but if you see it in flesh it`s not the same, the seat unit it`s in line with the back of the rear wheel.Length wise it has exactly the same length as a standard nc30 seat cowl.to be fair maybe 2-3 mm longer, which can`t be seen by bare eye.

i do think it does look a bit too long for the size of bike. however the work gone into blending the yamie tail in to meet with the tank looks well done. did you blend the yammie tail in with the original vfr fairing?

it could be the angle of the second picture that makes the tail look very long and broad,

have you modified the subframe to accept the new tail or is it still original? i notice you still have the foot pegs, have you made this so you can still carry pillions?

is your riders seat custom made? it looks like it sits quite high up the tank, so whether that is making the rear look larger than it really is...?

i say hats off to anyone who is prepared to try something different, if your end your happy with the end result it is worth more than anything else but again as with anything that is changed not everyone is going to like it.

not everyone likes my modified vfr but i love it, and to me that is all that matters

Yes I did blend the r1 tail with the vfr ones.,the bike in the second pictures leans over too much because I raised the back end a bit through the dog bone(after it`s painted I`ll put some pictures on because it looks weird in primer.
I have modified the subframe, front seat, pillion seat, and yes the foot pegs have been modded aswell to fit the subframe.I wanted to do this modification to carry pillions, and when I started to fit the back end tyga only had the single seat so that was a big problem, the riders seat and pillion seat are both from R1 ,on the front one I had to make it narrower because it was way too wide, and I chopped bits and pieces out of it to make it fit right).

To be fair my idea started from yours, the cbr seat unit looks good on your bike, but I preferred to do something different.

I`ll take the bike out a bit later to sort out the "long tail" problem.Fuck me I go in the garage it looks tiny,In the pictures it looks huge.

Thanks for appreciation.

Ok right, i dont like it but....you've put a lot of work into and if thats the look your going for then thats all good. Your obviously pretty handy with the fibreglass so if it were me id shorten the tail an inch or so and either graft a NC seat pad on or fill it in and use race seat foam padding, that R1 seat is huge and is spoiling the look of the bike more than anything else.

Plus everything looks better with a little paint on, think id also consider a tyga front to go with it.
