OKI endurance race scheme.
Im in the process of getting all my bits together to go to the sprayers this week. All the OKI decals have been done by Brooky, but i still have a few queries and need your advice and opinions!
Firstly, all pics i have of the OKI race scheme seem to show the red as almost dayglow orange, does anyone know what colour it actually is, have you seen the scheme in the flesh. I obviously want it as close as i can get it.
secondly the black numberboards front and rear. are they almost matt black? i dont think they would like right really glossy black?
thirdly the mid panel either side above OKI decal next to the HRC would that colour be wisteria blue?? again in the pics i have it looks pale purple!!
Any advice or opinions would be great
Thanks Chaps
Kris

Re: OKI endurance race scheme.
I find the pics in the motegi museum give the best reference for colours, thats what i'll be using for my am-pm rep.
As for the number boards on the OKI bike there definatly gloss black, the rears are also shaped different on the OKI bike but im sure you know that
And that blue looks to be the same colour used on the type 8 NC30's if thats any help

Found this nice pic this afternoon on Google, that gives me some ideas the day I decide to re-spray my nc30

Most of the indoor pics I've seen of the OKI bike make the colour out to be an orange, but in the outdoor pics it looks to be more red.ibby4585 wrote: Firstly, all pics i have of the OKI race scheme seem to show the red as almost dayglow orange, does anyone know what colour it actually is, have you seen the scheme in the flesh. Maybe the high illumination of the honda hall shifts it slightly towards the orange side of the scale?
Here's a vid of the 90 8-hour rvf, AFAIK the red colour wasn't changed between the 90-92 bikes:

The honda V-force book also has an outside pic of the 89 rvf which shows it more as a red.

Re: OKI endurance race scheme.
Bridgey, thanks for those pics mate, and the video, they have helped me out, i needed a front facing pic for the numberplate size and i didnt know the rear part of the seat unit where the lights are is red.
Cammo, thanks also, that video shows the colour as pretty much fighting red!! Which is a great help.
Im sure mine isnt going to be a perfect replica i just didnt want it to look like a crappy replica poorly done.
Thanks again
Kris
